We are very fortunate to still have many local services that have long since disappeared from other rural areas. These include our school, church, chapel, village shop and post office, garage with convenience store, pub, playing field and a bus service.

Our local pub is The Rest and Be Thankful Inn. This used to be an old coaching inn but now specialises in quality accommodation and excellent home cooking. The Moorland Hall |
The Moorland Hall was built in 1934 and plays an important part in our village life. Many of the local clubs hold their meeting and fundraising events. These include W.I., Friendship Club, Young Farmers, Art Classes, Short mat Bowls, Youth Club, Play Group, Mother & Toddler Group, Parish Council. The bus shelter is a new addition to the village replacing a very tired unattractive building.
